Congressman Delgado Delivers!

We were fortunate to have Congressman Antonio Delgado from the 19th US Congressional District join us in delivering Meals on Wheels in Hyde Park and The Village of Rhinebeck on Monday, August 19. He got to see what we have been doing for almost 44 years and to meet some of our (and his) senior neighbors. THANK YOU, Congressman for spending some time with us. You are always welcome to join us when your schedule allows. Thanks also to Patti Irwin for providing the transportation in your new Subaru Ascent from Ruge’s Subaru!

“Purl Jam” Donation!

Purl Jam, the knitting and crocheting group that meets at the Staatsburg Library on Saturday morning from 10:00 to noon, donated handmade hats and scarves for our clients. We thank you very much for the donation and all the time invested in making 60 items. Sue Osterhoudt from Partners for Change and the Hyde Park Rotary and Lorraine Rothman, the Director of the Staatsburg Library met with Board members Patti Robertson, Jane Ertman and Cheryl Norton at the Library for the donations. Thank you very much. The items will be put to good use as winter looks as if it arrived early this year.

Thank You Marist Team!

north-road-communications-teamAs we begin a new year and conclude another successful Share the Love campaign, we would like to take the opportunity to thank the Marist College students and in particular the leadership of the North Road Communications team for their dedication and assistance throughout 2016. The team did a fantastic job of not only producing very professional materials and social media posts, but were also instrumental in securing press and media coverage to raise awareness of our mission. Students from across the Marist community and athletic teams brought much joy when they volunteered for meal delivery, helped provide Blizzard Bags for our clients and produced a video of our volunteer luncheon. Thank you Marist team! We look forward to working with you again in 2017! Happy New Year to all! #SharetheLove
